Course Overview


This course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge required to manage their network using the CiscoWorks\Cisco Prime LAN Management Solution (LMS). The focus is on finding the correct tools within CiscoWorks to document the network inventory, manage device configurations, control software updates, monitor performance, troubleshoot faults, and simplify the deployment of new Cisco technologies.

The Labs for this course are based on Cisco Prime LMS 4.2

This course is aimed at Network Administrators, Network Managers, Network Designers, Engineers and System Engineers involved in the management of the network.

Course Objectives


After you complete this course you will be able to:

  • Automate the inventory collection process and produce detailed reports
  • Simultaneously deploy consistent configuration and operating system updates to multiple devices across your network
  • Automatically maintain a historical archive of the configurations on all of your Cisco devices as the configurations change over time

Course Prerequisites


Attendees should meet the following prerequisites:

  • Knowledge of basic Cisco IOS configuration, TCP/IP, routing and switching, Microsoft Windows, and Internet browser navigation. CCNA recommended ( ICND1 and ICND2 or CCNABC)
